Two Thunder
BACKGROUND
Two Thunder is the dynamic film duo of Robin & Jay, known for creating high-energy, engaging films for brands and businesses of all sizes. With an impressive portfolio that includes work on shows like Big Brother, Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, X Factor, RuPaul’s Drag Race UK, and Glow Up: Britain’s Next Make-Up Star, as well as content for global giants like Sony, Virgin, Tesco, MADE, and Samsung, they’re no strangers to the spotlight.
When Robin & Jay put this project under my nose, they were looking for a brand design that would set them apart from the corporate crowd, one that matched their vibrant personalities and bold approach. The brief was to create something that truly reflected their unique style—a radical departure from the norm in this often buttoned-up industry. It was an exciting challenge, and the result is a brand that lets their passion and energy shine through.
Solution
Their logo uses two lightning bolts to represent the duo and to give a 3D structured look placed at different angles, showing energy and a dynamic look to underpin everything they offer to their clients.
Illustration became a key element in capturing the brand’s playful tone, giving Robin & Jay a signature style that feels vibrant and inviting. By adding simple animations to these illustrations, it infused a sense of movement and energy, even in static environments, ensuring the brand always feels dynamic. The colour palette was a deliberate shift away from the overused corporate navy that dominates the industry, offering a fresh and creative alternative. One of the most exciting aspects of this project was the freedom to craft their strategy, which allowed the design to be deeply rooted in their core brand values of collaboration, creativity, and transparency. This alignment ensured that every element of the brand was a true reflection of who Robin & Jay are and what they stand for.
